With over ten different exciting game modes including the traditional Practice, Exhibition, League and Home Run Challenge modes, MLB Power Pros 2008 will bring fans closer to the action than ever before. Gamers also get the opportunity to act as general manager and control the destiny of their own franchise in Season mode, or engage in entertaining role-playing story modes such as Success and MLB Life modes. As general manager, gamers can trade, sign free agents, coordinate practice schedules, purchase new equipment, call up and send down players from the Minor Leagues, along with other management options to bring in fans, win playoff games and eventually, earn the title of World Series champion.

In Success mode, fans can participate in a story-based career of rising players in the Double-A Minor League system trying to improve their baseball skills and make an impression on baseball scouts while also having to balance various situations in their personal lives. Through a variety of amusing training and game challenges, players who complete Success mode will also be able to take their created player files into MLB Life as well, or also play as either an existing Major League Baseball(R) player in Dream Mode, or start as a rookie in Major League Career mode. • Bullpens – Proper bullpen management can determine the fate of a team. With MLB 2005 you need to know when you should get pitchers up to make relief appearances effective.
• In-Game Scouting Reports – Everybody knows everything about everybody in the Bigs. With MLB 2005 and in-game scouting reports, so do you. Get tips on pitches and locations that have been successful in the past. Learn hitter’s tendencies and go after them aggressively.
• Redesigned Batting Controls
• New Zone Control Batting – Total Control was designed for hard-core baseball fans and may be a bit difficult for some novice gamers. However, Zone Control should be right down Broadway. With Zone Control, you need only recognize one of four “zones” within the strike zone. The rest of the challenge is just timing. Look for a pitch in your zone and start hacking. And for beginners, MLB 2005 also has a batting option that is dedicated to timing alone.
• Total Control Batting – The only batting interface built to maximize risks and rewards associated with “guess” hitting. Guess pitch type and location; get locked on to a pitch and go yard. Guess wrong and it’s a long walk back to the bench.
• Hot and’ Cold Streaks – Link together three or more hits in a game and you’ll be in the zone with increases in batting attributes for contact and power. Conversely, if you’re struggling, attributes are decreased and you’ll be praying for a flare to get you back on track.
• Mound Charging – Not condoned by the teams, umpires nor the league, but it is part of the game. Batters beware; there are consequences for your actions. With this option exercised, you should expect an early trip to the showers and a possible suspension.
• Fielding Controls
• New Pressure Sensitive Throwing – Get the most out of your arm slinging the ball around the diamond. But reach too deep and runners will advance from wild throws into the stands resulting in costly errors.
• New Cut Offs, Relays and’ Run Downs – Reduce your ERA. Hit your relay men and hold runners from extra bases. Know when to make a cut and learn how to effectively execute a run down. All three are critical components of eliminating scoring threats.
• Total Control Fielding – More realistic than ever before. Your momentum, arm strength and accuracy all play a part in your ability to dazzle from the field. Dive for balls in the hole and flip to second or make a backhanded stab and gun the runner at first with a jump throw.

Reflecting on the history of the franchise, the longest-running officially licensed baseball title on PlayStation platforms, the SCEA San Diego Studios development team went into this season looking to build upon the history and success of the franchise by raising the level of authenticity and realism, and creating the perfect blend of features and unique gameplay opportunities

Already widely considered the most authentic baseball game available, MLB 08 THE SHOW is set to provide fans with the most realistic baseball experience to date with innovations such as a more immersive Road to The Show mode, enabling gamers to play both offense and defense from the created player?s perspective.

Providing players with some additional performance incentives, the MLB franchise introduces the new Progressive Batting Performance feature, which will both reward players for superior performance and penalize them for hitting slumps. Specific to each individual batter, players will be rewarded with slight contact bonuses, or punished with slight decreases in contact, based on how that batter that performs beyond his ?natural ability? while under user control.

Adding to the online feature set, which includes customizable Online League Play with up to 30 teams, scrolling MLB Score Ticker and more, MLB 08 THE SHOW introduces SCOUT (SportsConnect Online User Tracking), which allows gamers to set and store their game preferences on the MLB server, and enables the system to look for a Quick Match with opponents that fits similar competitive criteria.

• Road to The Show 2.0 ? To deliver the closest experience possible, next to actually trying to make it in the Majors, MLB 08 THE SHOW introduces a more immersive Road to The Show mode. As gamers attempt to make a starting line-up in the Big Leagues, playing on both offense and defense from a custom-created player?s perspective, a more robust dynamic goal system and a new career advancement system will determine when a player is eligible for a promotion. Now, advancement goals related to the player’s attribute target level will be provided to get the player to that next level and those goals are based on the player’s attribute level and statistical performance. Also, Road to The Show 2.0 adds a new statistics screen that will display a player?s current seasons? statistics. Additionally, custom-created players are more interactive. As a position player, gamers will be able to further adjust that players positioning, catchers will occur more defense situations, and pitcher’s will now experience mound visits with user interaction ? all making Road to The Show mode even more realistic.
• Progressive Batting Performance ? Progressive Batting Performance is a feature designed to both reward players for superior performance and penalizes them for hitting slumps. Specific to each individual batter, the players will be rewarded with slight contact bonuses for each batter that performs beyond his ?natural ability? while under user control. Conversely, the user will be punished with slight decreases in contact for each batter that performs below his ?natural ability?.
• SCOUT [SportsConnect Online User Tracking] ? If you?ve ever had a difficult time finding an opponent that wants to play online with the same gameplay setting as you, this is your feature. SCOUT allows gamers to set their game preferences, stores them on the server, and then allows the system to look for a Quick Match with an opponent that fits their criteria.
• Adaptive Pitching Intelligence (API) ? Catchers will call the game based on individual strengths and weaknesses of each pitcher and analyze tendencies of batters. Gamers will have the ability to trust the pitches called by the catcher or shake them off. (The catcher?s recommendations are based off of thousands of actual MLB stats.)
• Pitch Command System (PCS) ? Delivering unsurpassed authenticity and strategy to pitch selection, a pitcher?s ?pitch comfort? will be predetermined based on a best to worst pitch scenario. It?s up the gamer to decide if they should try to ?work on a pitch? or just go with what?s working. The more a player works on a pitch, the better it becomes, and the more a gamer neglects a pitch, the harder it becomes to work the zone.
• Online League Play ? MLB 08 THE SHOW provides today?s sports fanatics with the ability to set up leagues with anywhere from 6-30 teams with full stat tracking, point benefits and rewards. Gamers can customize the league including choosing players, teams, length of schedule and much more. (Note: There are no cross platform leagues available.)
• My Sliders (Up/Downloadable) ? The My Sliders option gives users the ability to create their perfect game settings offline by adjusting game sliders. For the first time in the history of the Metal Gear franchise, the game now provides an online gameplay environment. In the new “Online Mode”, gamers can choose their mission and rules, including “Team Battle” and “Snake and Enemy” (one person becomes Snake and the other person blocks out his mission), and then fight it out online. This new mode also brings the classic Metal Gear Solid combat elements into online play, such as the “Close Quarters Combat (CQC)” proximity encounters, stealth and sniping.

Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence has also added the option of the “Third Person View Camera” for every stage of the game. This wider field of vision and complete freedom of movement brings an incredible sense of realism to the game. Pack your gear, head to the Pacific, and fight Japanese imperialism in Medal of Honor Rising Sun. In this installment of the top-selling Medal of Honor series, Marine Corporal Joseph Griffin must endure some of the fiercest battles fought during WWII; crucial assignments ranging from surviving the devastating attack on Pearl Harbor, destroying the Bridge over the River Kwai, a midnight raid on Guadalcanal, and triumphing in the final showdown with Colonel Shima.

Players will take on five multi-part missions spanning ten massive open environment levels, all of which add up to one complete storyline. The experience begins with the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941 aboard the U.S.S. California where players will fight off Japanese attacks and witness the destruction of the American fleet. Players will travel to Guadalcanal to destroy fortified Japanese gun emplacements and lead the assault on Henderson Field.

Players will have to use stealth as they travel to Singapore to search for information pertaining to a stolen cache of Japanese gold and escape on a stolen speedboat. Head back behind enemy lines with Lt. Jimmy Patterson in Medal of Honor Frontline. In this installment of the smash-hit Medal of Honor series, Lt. Patterson returns and must use the confusion of the real-world offensive Operation Market Garden to infiltrate the German frontline and steal the HO-IX flying wing, an experimental Nazi weapon so powerful that it could turn the tide of World War II.

In keeping with the strengths of the Medal of Honor series, Frontline will put gamers in control of Lt. Jimmy Patterson as he carries out his critical missions in full 3D. Players will take Lt. Patterson on 15 crucial assignments ranging from destroying a German Naval base, rescuing a captured OSS operative from a Nazi held Dutch manor house, stowing away above and aboard a speeding Nazi armored train, to disarming the undercarriage of Nijmegen Bridge, made famous in the film A Bridge Too Far.

Players will take on five missions, each consisting of at least three individual levels, all of which add up to one complete storyline. To help him succeed in his assignment, Lt. Patterson will have the assistance of a small squad of soldiers and a slew of new weapons, ranging from the Liberator Pistol, Panzerschreck, MG42 mounted machine gun-to the return of the ever-popular B.A.R. Pattersons friends and foes will all have much improved AIs, making for tense and heated large-scale battles, with friends, foes, and even civilians all on screen at any given moment.

EALA continues to work closely with the Congressional Medal of Honor Society to make sure Medal of Honor Frontline reflects the ideals and integrity of the prestigious Congressional Medal of Honor. The team also consulted with Russ Lee, the Smithsonian Institutions expert on the HO-IX, and Capt.
